Valery Zhakenov has long-term experience in advising companies, implementation of investment projects and complex transactions.

As a representative of the parties, and also as an arbitrator, Valery has participated in a substantial number of arbitrations with participation of Kazakhstani and foreign companies.  Mr. Zhakenov acted as a Kazakhstani law expert in international arbitrations.

Valery also has long-standing court experience and proven record in assisting clients in multiple areas of law. He is an author of more than 40 publications devoted to various aspects of law (including commentaries to the Civil Code and the Code on Marriage and Family of Kazakh SSR). Valery has experience in law drafting, took part in development of the Civil Code of Kazakhstan and other legislative acts.

Mr. Zhakenov mainly deals with International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.
